49 Download Report Request A Quote Indonesian Perceptions Towards Stock and Future Investment Trends – Jakpat Survey Report The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 has an impact on the world economy, including Indonesia. This requires people to seek additional income alternatives, one of which is to enter the capital market. According to the Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), there has been an increase in transactions from domestic investors in the Indonesian stock market¹. During the period 2020, the number of investors increased by 30% compared to 2019. The allocation of public funds, which was initially consumptive, began to be directed to invest in the capital market during the pandemic. Another factor is because other investments such as gold are already expensive compared to stock investments that offer relatively lower investment capital². Relevant to that matter, Jakpat has been conducted a survey in order to understand the perceptions of the Indonesian on one of the existing investment options, namely stock investment, and how the future investment trends.
