36 Bullying has become more dangerous nowadays. In the older days, bullying would come in the form of face-to-face taunts and physical contact. However, most of them did not report the crime (84.43%). As a result, it means that most parents and teachers do not know that these teenagers have been cybebullied. One in 10 respondents does not know what cyberbullying is exactly. In addition, it can be unclear what counts as cyberbullying exactly. Some respondents say that people have said mean things to or about them online, but they do not consider it cyberbullying (15.97%), and almost the same number (15.17%) say that they have said mean things to others online but those were not cyberbullying because they were only jokes.What is important to know is what jokes are only funny if they are perceived that way by the perceiver. 11.38% of teenagers tell us that they have sent a joke to someone previously, but the receiver interpreted it as cyberbullying. Teenagers think that cyberbullying happens often (43.51%) or sometimes (23.15%). That means that along with those who respond with all the time (17.37%), more than 8 in 10 believe that cyberbullying is something that happens compared to only 15.17% who say that cyberbullying rarely happens. Cyberbullying happens in the online world, mostly in social media. Facebook is the most popular tool for social media, and this is also a breeding ground for cyberbullying. Of all respondents, nearly 3 in 4 say that they have seen cyberbullying in Facebook, 44.91% in Twitter, and 14.57% in Path. Others report that they have seen it in LINE, BlackBerry Mobile and Instagram too. Four in 10 respondents say that cyberbullying is a big issue deal versus 1 in 10 who say that it is not. Nearly a quarter have friends who have been cyberbullied, and nearly a fifth report that there have been cyberbullying incidents at school.
