Cashless Payment: Extended Usage of Go-Pay and OVO – Survey Report

The effort of encouraging cashless payment has been announced for recent years. In order to encourage this discourse, numbers of a digital wallet, or also known as electronic money is made by the bank and another non-banking provider. According to our data, some popularly owned electronic money product among our respondents are Go-Pay, e-Money, and T-Cash. These products is also followed by OVO, a smart financial app made by LippoX. Recently, both Go-Pay and OVO are gaining public interest since they offer much interesting promotions. Go-Pay try to attract their user by creating Go-Point as their rewarding system, and offer discount for any Go-Jek service paid by Go-Pay balance. Meanwhile, OVO enable their user to pay their transaction in Lippo merchants such as Matahari department store and Hypermart using OVO balance. Besides that, OVO recently also launch cashback program for dining in OVO merchants using its balance. As the enthusiasm of using Go-Pay and OVO is quite high, we would like to examine the extended usage of both apps. We send a survey toward 2.384 respondents in nationwide to understand this issue. Basically, we ask them a single question about their interest of using Go-Pay and OVO if these apps can be used to afford their offline transaction in any shop or restaurants. Surprisingly, most respondents in this survey are interested of the idea. They don’t mind using their Go-Pay and OVO balance to pay offline transaction. In general, they even expect to be able using the balance to pay for food dining, fashion&accessories, and electronic&gadget. Up to this point, we may relieve that the idea of encouraging digital payment in the near future is very much welcome.

Segmentation Survey Report: Yogurt

Consuming yogurt regularly can be good for health. Not only for the sake of health, consuming it can also be refreshing –and there are some other reasons why people would drink yogurt. In this survey we have gathered top six motivations why the respondents enjoy consuming yogurt, which include (a) yogurt is good for health, (b) yogurt is good tasting, (c) consuming yogurt is a good diet, (d) consuming yogurt has a refreshing effect, (e) yogurt is for snacking, and (f) yogurt is consumed for no specific reason but just wanting to.

Those top six motivations then were individually crossed with these following variables: age group of respondents, brands of yogurt, reasons for purchase, yogurt product packaging, frequency of yogurt consumption, yogurt flavors, number of yogurt purchased, money spent on yogurt, place to purchase yogurt, and alternatives to yogurt. Therefore there are many interesting findings in the crossed-tab data to find. You can also find crossed data between motivations of yogurt consumption and respondents gender. Other more general data that you can also find include:

  • Top brand of yogurt
  • Reasons for choosing the yogurt brand
  • Preferable yogurt product packaging
  • Top favorite flavors of yogurt
  • Top places to purchase yogurt

Watching Sports Match on TV / Streaming – Survey Report

When it comes to watching sports, people have different accesses to doing so. In this survey, we have gathered interesting results in terms of what sports the respondents love to watch, on which TV channels they watch the games, etc. We managed to ask 2859 respondents throughout Indonesia of all demographic background. Female and male respondents show different habits and interests in which sports and how they watch and follow. Moreover, for watching sports, most respondents installed cable TV so they can watch them on international TV channels. Followings are what can be found in the complete data:

Online Job Search: Usage of Career Center Website – Survey Report

Finding a job is a challenging task that is faced by most today’s youth. As Indonesia is having a demographic bonus, which leads the big number of youth, the challenge of getting a job is just in front of us. The big number of youth and the limited job opportunity in the industry makes job recruitment process becomes another thing. In this survey, we would like to investigate online job search process conducted by our respondents using career center website. According to our result, most respondents in this survey tend to consider career center website as an effective platform to find a job. Many respondents in this survey admit that they ever have an interview call after applying the job using the service, and some others even get the job they desire. Moreover, we also find that our panel gender tends to choose different job field that attracts them.

Segmentation Survey Report : Shampoo

Doing daily activities especially outdoors makes our hair sometimes limp and smelly. At that time all we want to do is go home then wash our hair and hit the shower. Most people use shampoo to wash their hair to make their hair cleaner and smell good. People also try to find a shampoo which can overcome their hair problem. Living in a tropical country make our hair problem slightly different with the other people, in this survey, we find three most common hair problem which is: dandruff, fall hair, and dry hair. We then use these three hair problems as the basic aspect to make the segmentation regarding shampoo consuming behavior by outlining several aspects.

This survey is sent to our 2.916 panels in nationwide. Overall, we can see that respondents with a different hair problem have different consumer behavior as well. We can see that their behavior like the preference of shampoo brand, the place to buy, money spent, amount purchased and so on differ on each hair problem.

As a popular dessert around the globe, it is almost impossible to find people who do not like to consume ice cream. Ice cream has been a popular dessert for most people around the world. From the modern globally distributed ice cream brand to the traditional or local ice cream vendor tend to grab the biggest pie of this industry. As the number of ice cream players are increasing both in national and local market, we would like to map our ice cream consumer respondents consumption behaviour. We use their motivation as the determinant variable in this survey. According to our result, we find that most respondents in this survey tend to consume ice cream because of two reasons; they like the taste, and they consider ice cream as a perfect dish in hot weather. In general, although respondent seem to have different motivation, but their consumption pattern is not very much different. Their difference includes their preferred flavor, ice cream packages to be consumed, and brand.
