What Do You Do While Stuck in Traffic Jam? – Survey Reports

If you live in big cities such as in area of JABODETABEK, finding yourself stuck in a traffic jam on your way to somewhere must be quite expectable. In this survey we managed to engage with over 1300 respondents (54% in DKI Jakarta, 28% in West Java, 18% in Banten) living and doing their activities in the area of JABODETABEK and asked them around the things they tend to do when being stuck in traffic jam. In some results we tried reading the data based on the respondents’ gender and ages. It was interesting as a result that different respondents of different ages tend to have a different habit during the moment they are stuck in traffic jam.

Survey Segmentation: Chocolate – Survey Report

When we hear the word chocolate, our minds are fixed on people’s favorite treat. Identical to its diverse benefits as well as its ability to manage emotions, pros cons about the benefits of chocolate is still widely studied by experts until now. Chocolate became very commercially known between the 17th and 19th centuries and since then many companies are competing to release a chocolate brand that has quality products and received by people. People eat chocolate for various reasons. To find out more, we conducted a survey to gain an insight about chocolate consuming behavior especially motivation for consuming chocolate. Among all the motivations for consuming  chocolate which mentioned by respondents, we find top three reasons; because it is good, they sincerely like chocolate, and chocolate can be a moodboster. In this survey, we use these three reasons as the basic aspect to make the segmentation regarding chocolate consuming behavior by outlining several aspects.

This survey is sent to our 2.059 panel in nationwide. Overall, we can see that although respondents have different motivation, their preference of chocolate brands and type of chocolate are similar. However, in addition to these two aspects there is another aspect that with the existence of different motives produce different behavior as well. These aspects are preferred place to buy chocolate, frequency of consuming chocolate, money spent on buying chocolate, and so on.

Go-Pay Balance Usage – Survey Report

Since it is firstly introduced, Go-Pay has been warmly welcomed by most Go-Jek customer. This digital wallet is considered as very useful to support customer on using Go-Jek services. Moreover, Go-Jek also boost its digital environment with several features such as Go-Points, cheaper tarif, cash withdrawal, and number of supportive features for their customer who use Go-Pay. Thus, it could be said that Go-Jek digital wallet may become a best practice on how digital money works well in digital environment. We conduct a survey toward 1.632 respondents in nationwide to understand how they use their Go-Pay balance. According to our survey result, most of them are using their balance to afford Go-Pay services. Simplicity of using Go-Pay becomes the most prominent reason of why our respondents are willing to use this digital money feature. At last, our respondents in this survey generally consider Go-Jek are doing very well in overall their Go-Pay feature.

As in previous years, in 2017 JAKPAT conducted a survey of Harbolnas 2017. Slightly different from the previous year, this year’s survey involves only 365 respondents. New Year Holiday Plan 2017 -Survey Report

Having holiday is always everyone’s dream. People sometimes put over another stuff and choose to have a holiday with friends or family. Without we realised before, holiday is an important moment for human to let go all the busy activities and deadlines, change it with people and happy activities around them. Even, a research from Icahn School of Medicine University of California and Harvard University (2016) proved that a holiday can change our genes function. It can help to boosts the immune system and prevent stress, dementia and depression. That’s why we choose holiday theme for this report survey and tried to gain more insights about people’s choices.

New year is always one of the most anticipated holiday. People prepared and waited for it to celebrate the moment of change, not only the year but also themselves. With total 1.627 respondents, this survey tried to capture respondents’ considerations and choices for new year holiday 2017. The result shows us that most of the respondents has prepared their new year holiday of 2017, bought their tickets and booked their hotels. Friends and family are the most enjoyable groups they found interesting to spend their holiday with. About holiday destination, majority of the respondents choose domestic places which shows their love and proudness of Indonesia.

Segmentation Based Survey: Fast Food Consumer – Survey Report

Fast food industry in Indonesia is facing an intense competition in the channel. Numbers of new fast food chain open their new restaurants in several provinces where they never have before. Meanwhile, the prominent leading fast food restaurants are not only expanding, but also maintaining their current consumer by penetrating the sub-urban area, and/or opening more stores in the cities where they already own fast food restaurant. However, expanding the number of restaurant only seem to be not the only and ultimate solution. Moreover, this industry need to understand their consumer well.

By conducting a survey toward our panel, we try to map their fast food consumption based on their motivation. Thus, this survey do not merely discuss about fast food consumer characteristic based on their demographic or socio economic segment, but based on their motivation of consuming fast food. According to our result, most respondents in this survey consume fast food because of three most prominent reasons; delicious taste, fast service, and easiness (practical issue). These motives then become our main variable in investigating further issue. According to our survey result, we find that respondent motive of consumption do not merely affect all aspects of their consumption behaviour pattern. The most prominent difference is shown regarding their method of buying fast food. Moreover, we also find that most respondents in this survey prefer Indonesian food type to replace fast food menu if the fast food restaurant they once desired is not available.

Indonesia E-commerce Habit Report 2017

E-commerce has been a hot topic in Indonesia thanks to Tokopedia, Bukalapak, Rocket’s Lazada, and online transportation Gojek, Grab, and Uber—for making it possible to shift the purchasing behavior of Indonesian people from offline retailer to online platform. But recently when media reported the slowing economy due to the decline of purchasing power, people then pointed that maybe it’s because of online disruption.

Apparently, online shopping only contributed not bigger than 1% to Indonesia’s GDP, meaning that the purchasing power still came from the offline activities. Looking beyond, it is still a challenge for online businesses to crack the buying behavior of Indonesian people. The trigger to buy online is because of discount and cheaper price, since people would still buy from offline store despite higher price than online.
