In the Covid-19 pandemic, the internets user in Indonesia increased as well as the social media user. User also spent quite some time a day for social media. Social media itself plays various role, not only for connecting people, but also for communication, source of entertainment, source of information including information related to Covid-19, and also it help people doing business too, buying, selling, and marketing activities. Thus, to understand the use of social media and its trend on the first half of 2021, Jakpat conducted a survey to 2321 respondents nationwide. The result says that YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram remain to be the most accessed social media and the popularity of TikTok among social media user keep increasing time by time.

Indonesia Digital Payment Trend 1st Semester of 2021 – Jakpat Premium Report

The digitalization of payment systems is growing rapidly in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic. Changes in consumer behavior and the business, including merchants and their intermediaries across the payment ecosystem, responded quickly to a pandemic that required physical activity restrictions. One of them is the existence of a payment system using the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS), which is a non-cash payment via scanning a national standard QR code. With QRIS, mobile payment users, both digital wallets or mobile banking, are able to make transactions in real time. In this survey, JAKPAT will discuss the use of mobile payments in Indonesia on the first semester of 2021 including the experiences while using this payment system, major players in the mobile payment industry, the use of mobile payments in various transactions and also to predict the trend of mobile payment usage among our panels.
