MarketingMobileReports Online Privacy – Survey Report by jakmin July 3, 2015 written by jakmin In Indonesia, it is normal for people to know about other people’s businesses. It is common for neighbors to know about one’s work schedule, guests at one’s house, and so forth. After all, Indonesia prides itself on being a cooperative and open society that lives together in harmony. With developments in technology, social interactions are being moved more and more online. Interactions are now recorded and leave an online trace. As hinchables juegos this happens, that means that notions about privacy are also changing. Thus, JakPat wants to know about teenagers’ and millennials’ views on online privacy. This survey report is created from 512 responses. When creating a new social media account, most people frequently read about the privacy settings. That way, they know what information is collected and how they may be used. People can also choose the settings and features that they want used. The privacy policy is important to consider, especially since most people (85.55%) post real information about themselves. This includes birthday, hometown, schooling cheap water trampoline background and more. That means that personal information about people is easily accessible. On that note, people do fear improper use of their information. More than half of respondents (57.81%) state they are concerned about third parties such as government and companies accessing their personal information without permission.  Users are concerned about the information that is given away, yet 3 in 4 sometimes or always check-in their location on their social media accounts. Usually, people check-in at eateries or points of interests. What this means is that people are actively letting others know where they are exactly. It is assumed that most people trust their social media friends to share this information. When it comes to adding friends on social media, most people will not add every friend request. Less than 1 in 10 will do that. Everyone eastyl else practices caution presumably for different reasons. Finally, greater online space means that there are multiple ways of entering and garnering attention. However, that does not necessarily guarantee a smooth exit should one decide to exit the online sphere. Specifically, anything that gets posted online remains, even after it is deleted. However, a good number of people believe that their online presence can be erased which is not true. 47.27% believe that there is no online footprint after things are deleted. This is an issue of greater concern for females in particular because they are likelier to post something that they later regret. With greater dependence on online media for communication and daily activities, people need to be more aware about online privacy and how they can keep themselves and their information safe. Uncategorized Comparing Mobile and Web Survey Result by jakmin July 2, 2015 written by jakmin Mobile survey as recent breakthrough in the market research industry is still doubted by many surveyors. It is unsurprising since many questions about mobile survey are still left unanswered. One of them is how reliable the result of mobile survey compared to other data capture method? To answer that question, we will compare mobile survey with web survey, simply because they both are online surveys. Moreover the period of when the survey became popular is not too far apart; web survey became popular in the mid 1990 while mobile survey became popular in the late 2000 with the rise of smartphone users. There are some remark points: 1. Mobile Survey Gains More Viewers Although it is not directly linked to the result, the number of people who views the survey will affected the number of respondents. Mobile survey uses push notification in people’s smartphone to alert when they are invited to a survey while web survey use email invitation or pop-up in the website. This resulting in mobile survey can gain twice the number of people that views the survey in half the time that web survey needs. 2. Web Survey Has Higher Completion Rate According to many studies, the completion rate (the number of survey completed per number of survey viewed) in web survey are higher than in mobile survey. There is no exact number to state the difference, but in the end the number of respondents you get from mobile survey is still higher. 3. Mobile Survey is Suitable for Younger Target Respondents The demographic of mobile survey respondents are typically younger than web survey. It is to be expected from mobile survey as youngsters are more exposed to mobile phone. 4. No Significant Difference in the Result Whether it is attitudinal or behavioral measures, mobile and web surveys present the indifferent result. There might be slight difference but it is not significant. Mobile and web survey are perceived to be more personal which makes respondents can express their thought freely without having to portray positive attitude as they do on face-to-face or phone survey. Now we know that mobile survey and web survey are not different in terms of the result. Yet mobile survey promising faster and bigger data capture with younger respondents. In the end, it all depends on the survey itself. Questions like what is the demography of the respondents, how many respondents do you need and how much time do you have, will help you decide which data capture method suits you best. And below is the result: Q1 (scale) : how would you recommend PLN to your social media and friends? Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Option 6 : 5 9 13 11 9 Option 2 : 1 9 7 10 8 Option 4 : 3 7 4 6 9 Option 7 : 6 3 5 4 5 Option 3 : 2 4 3 5 5 Option 5 : 4 2 7 1 6 Option 8 : 7 7 5 3 0 Option 9 : 8 5 4 3 2 Option 1 : 0 4 1 3 4 Option 11 : 10 1 1 2 3 Option 10 : 9 0 0 2 0 From the 1st day to 4th day, most respondents give scale 5. It shows that respondents feel so-so to recommend PLN to their friends or social media. Many respondents also give scale 1, in which it means they are quite unwilling to recommend PLN. Here you also can see the graph of this survey: 2. TELKOM Q2 (scale) : how would you recommend TELKOM to your social media and friends? Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Option 6 : 6 10 13 5 7 Option 1 : 1 9 7 10 8 Option 4 : 4 6 6 6 5 Option 8 : 8 6 6 6 4 Option 7 : 7 6 5 5 5 Option 3 : 3 4 4 3 10 Option 5 : 5 4 5 5 1 Option 10 : 10 2 2 5 3 Option 2 : 2 2 1 3 4 Option 9 : 9 2 1 2 4 While for TELKOM in day 1 and 2, most respondents feel rather willing to recommend TELKOM to their media social and friends. The trend changes a bit in day 3 and 4 – most respondents become rather unwilling to recommend TELKOM by giving scale 1 and 3. 3. PERTAMINA Q3 (scale) : how would you recommend PERTAMINA to your social media and friends? Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Option 1 : 1 6 6 14 11 Option 7 : 7 5 12 8 3 Option 4 : 4 5 6 8 7 Option 3 : 3 10 6 4 6 Option 5 : 5 7 8 4 6 Option 8 : 8 8 5 2 3 Option 6 : 6 3 2 4 8 Option 10 : 10 3 2 3 5 Option 2 : 2 3 2 1 1 Option 9 : 9 1 1 2 1 For PERTAMINA, the result fluctuates from day 1 to day 3 and on day 4 it stabilizes. On the 1st day, most respondents are rather unwilling to recommend PERTAMINA. And on the 2nd day, most respondents are rather willing to recommend PERTAMINA. But then, on the 3rd day, most respondents are very unwilling to recommend PERTAMINA, so do the 4th day. 4. KAI Q4 (scale) : how would you recommend KAI to your social media and friends? Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Option 1 : 1 11 8 10 9 Option 8 : 8 9 6 7 5 Option 6 : 6 3 8 6 9 Option 9 : 9 6 5 5 5 Option 4 : 4 4 3 8 6 Option 7 : 7 7 5 2 6 Option 5 : 5 2 7 4 3 Option 3 : 3 3 4 4 3 Option 10 : 10 5 3 2 2 Option 2 : 2 1 1 2 3 KAI has more stable trend, as we can see the highest number of respondents choosing answer is not changing from day 1 to day 4. Nevertheless, on day 2 and 4 most respondents are on scale 1 and 6. It makes the results on day 2 and 4 are fifty-fifty: between unwilling respondents and willing respondents. Housing Indonesian Citizen Expectations for Smart City – Survey Report by jakmin June 30, 2015 written by jakmin Previously, we already discussed smart home, and now we want to discuss smart city. Actually, what is smart city? According to Wikipedia, smart city has many definitions, thus it is rather difficult to define precisely. According to Deakin, smart city is city utilizes ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) to meet the demands of the market (the citizens of the city), and that community involvement in the process is necessary for a smart city. Here, it shows that involvement of people and city cannot be separated to build smart city. Well, how are our respondents’ expectations towards smart Inflatable water slide for sale Canada city? Here, JAKPAT conducted a survey to our respondents in some cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Makasar. This survey involved 722 respondents, from 17 to 35 years old. Here are their answers. 1. DO THEY KNOW SMART CITY? In those cities, we found that most respondents do not know smart city. As we can see from the infographic, those respondents knowing smart city are below 50% in every city. It shows that respondents are less aware of smart city. 2. PROBLEMS IN THEIR CITIES We asked what problems they have in their cities by giving an open ended question. Here we found out some problems they stated concerning their cities. Respondents in all cities say that traffic is the biggest problem they have in the cities. Other problems respondents have in Jakarta are sanitation and natural disaster like flood. HOW NECESSARY ARE THESE PROBLEMS TO BE AIDED BY IT SYSTEM OR SMART SYSTEM? We used a grid question to know respondents’ answer regarding the necessity of IT system or smart system assistance in the city. We gave some problems here, and then respondents choose the answers. For the infographics below, here is the legend: Jakarta In Jakarta, security problem in the city is the most necessary problem to be aided by IT system or smart system than traffic problem or sanitation. Then, it is followed by public transport problem and traffic problem. It may be caused by the robbery case in Jakarta, so many of respondents think Jakarta lacks of security. Thus, we asked them using a scale question, in which respondents can give value from 1 to 5 concerning the performance of the government. Most cities are evaluated as neutral by respondents. Jakarta In Jakarta, we did not get the majority answer related to performance evaluation of Jakarta’s government. But, most respondents think the government is neither good nor bad. As shown on the infographic, only a quarter of respondents consider the performance of Jakarta’s government is good. Bandung Most respondents in Bandung consider the performance of the government is good, even though fewer than half of respondents think so (43.5%).
